How does the adoption process work?
Our process is quick. Once dogs are posted on our rescue FB page and on this website, those pups tend to get adopted within a few days after being posted. The first step is to fill out an application and send it back quickly. It's important to list the pup(s) that are your interested in on the application.
We do not process applications without a pups name on the application. We also do not process applications for future adoptions. Only 1 application is needed, multiple names can be listed on that application . This increases your chances of adopting if you indicate multiple names of pups you are interested in.
We usually look at applications same day or the following day. We will confirm receipt of the application once we start the process of reviewing your information. We will contact you by phone to conduct a phone interview and to explain the adoption process to you. If approved, an in-person meet-and-greet will be scheduled.
During your in - person meet, you will travel to the foster home to see the pup or pups your interested in along with other pups. We give you 1 hour of time with the pups and team member to see if you connect, plus get all your questions answered. If there is a connection, and our team is comfortable moving forward with your application, we will complete the adoption paperwork at that time and you are required to take the dog home with you that same day. We DO NOT hold pups. If a family decides not to adopt, the puppy you were looking at can get adopted to any family scheduled after your appointment.
We reserve the right to deny any family during the in-person meet. We do look for a connection between the dog and adopter. Please understand we are not looking to hurt anyone's feelings, but we are looking for a successful adoption for both the dog and adopter.
Adoption fee is to be paid during the meet when paperwork is completed.
*** Availability and speed are key in this process. Pups are on a first come, first serve basis for approved adopters.
